VIMS Open Space - Campus Redevelopment
The VIMS Open Space Project addresses a portion of the VIMS Masterplan. The original intent of the project was to restore areas of the VIMS campus where old buildings were demolished and use these areas for practical and educational purposes. Landscape practices that help to protect water quality and wildlife habitat were of prime interest in these areas as well as a place for campus recreation and beach access.
