Three graduate degrees and an undergraduate minor are offered through William & Mary's School of Marine Science at VIMS.

M.S. and Ph.D.
The M.S. and Ph.D. degrees are designed for students who wish to pursue science-focused careers at an advanced level. The School of Marine Science offers diverse course work in marine science, as well as advanced quantitative method courses, and courses or training programs that help students develop the technical and professional skills that employers seek.

Professional M.A.
Through interdisciplinary coursework and training, the professional M.A. in Marine Science prepares students for careers in areas like policy, business, education, outreach, and more. Students will gain the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to translate, integrate and apply marine science across a broad range of career paths and societal concerns.

Undergraduate Minor
William & Mary undergraduates can get involved in all aspects of marine science through a collaboration between Arts & Sciences and the School of Marine Science at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. Students complete coursework, conduct research, engage with policy, and can complete a Minor in Marine Science.

Undergraduate Opportunities
