VIMS Foundation
The Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) Foundation will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2025. The VIMS Foundation receives, manages and stewards individual, corporate and foundation philanthropic gifts benefiting VIMS. The Board of Directors of this 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supports the strategic priorities of the VIMS Dean & Director. With burgeoning demand for VIMS research expertise, graduate school, public education and advisory service, the VIMS Foundation seeks to significantly grow annual unrestricted support as well as endowment and legacy gifts for VIMS. Philanthropic support of VIMS facilities, programs, faculty and students is critical to sustaining VIMS excellence in costal and marine science as well as translation of that science to the public.
