Dean and Director John Wells of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science announced winners of the 2011 VIMS Service and Student awards during a ceremony in Watermen's Hall that was attended by a large and enthusiastic audience of VIMS faculty, staff, students, and their family members.
During the ceremony, Wells also noted the many external awards and accomplishments earned by members of the VIMS community in 2011, and furthermore recognized VIMS employees for Years of Service in 5-year categories between 5 and 50 years.
