You know Flounder and Croaker
And Striper and Catfish,
Herring, Clupeid
And Snapper and Flatfish.
But do you recall
The most famous finfish of
all?
Erwin the glow-nosed angler
Had a bioluminescent lure
And if you ever saw it
You would have to be immersed
All of the other finfish
Used to laugh and bite his
tail
They never let poor Erwin
Catch a ride with passing
whales
Then one turbid Christmas Eve
Santa came to say
Erwin with your lure so
bright
Won't you guide my boat
tonight?
Then all the finfish loved
him
And they shouted out with
glee
Erwin the glow-nosed angler
You'll go down into the sea
The annals of the deep-deep
sea!
