Sample Inundation Animation
Below is a simulation of inundation due to Sandy in the New York area rendered in a Google Earth Widget.
This model is forced by observed water levels at the boundary and by observed winds across the surface of the model. You can operate the widget by panning and zooming within the window, and panning the time-slider at the upper left corner. If you do not have the Google Earth widget, you can use the Google maps widget, but the inundation at the peak of the storm will not show.
You can also view this in Google Earth using SandyInundationModel.kmz.
With GIS software, you may be able to make use of the GeoTIFFs, PNGs, and tileserver imagery referenced in the shapefile at http://web.vims.edu/physical/3DECM/SandyNYObs/SandyNYObsThickIndex/
